For more information see, http://dublincore.org/documents/dces/."],["elementContainer",["element",{"elementId":"50"},["name","Title"],["description","A name given to the resource"],["elementTextContainer",["elementText",{"elementTextId":"11384"},["text","Evaluation de l’impact  d’événements  exceptionnels  observés en 2025  sur des platiers des  récifs coralliens de  La Réunion "]]]],["element",{"elementId":"41"},["name","Description"],["description","An account of the resource"],["elementTextContainer",["elementText",{"elementTextId":"11385"},["text","Durant l’année 2025, plusieurs évènements exceptionnels ayant impactés la vitalité d’une partie des récifs coralliens de l’Île de La Réunion se sont succédés à La Réunion. \r\n• Phénomène de blanchissement corallien massif des principales formations récifales de l’Île, le plus important jamais documenté à La Réunion en lien avec des températures importantes des eaux marines de surface (SST) (observé entre fin janvier et début février 2025) \r\n• Coulées de boue importantes dans le secteur Ouest (de Saint Gilles les Bains à Saint Leu) en lien avec le passage du cyclone Garance (28 février 2025) et l’érosion aggravée des sols en amont des zones récifales. \r\n• Succession de plusieurs épisodes de marées basses exceptionnelles avec des décotes anormales du marnage, conséquences de la présence de gyres océaniques (évènements successifs survenus d’août à décembre 2025 de façon intermittente). \r\nLa synergie de ces différents phénomènes a eu pour conséquences une baisse importante de la couverture en coraux vivants sur une partie des formations récifales de La Réunion. Sur certains secteurs, des dégradations catastrophiques ont été observées : des portions entières de récifs coralliens de La Réunion ont été quasiment détruites (+ de 90%) au niveau des platiers coralliens. \r\nCe rapport est une première évaluation de l’incidence du blanchissement corallien lié aux fortes températures et des apports terrigènes du cyclone Garance réalisée dans les mois qui ont suivi l’observation de ces phénomènes : il se base principalement sur des observations des platiers coralliens. Il documente l’impact de ces événements notamment à partir de photographies sous-marines, d’évaluations rapides de l’impact de ces phénomènes le long de radiales sur les secteurs les plus touchés et intègre des relevés scientifiques sur les stations sentinelles du suivi de l’état de santé des récifs coralliens (GCRMN Réunion méthode LIT Benthos expert).
