Elles sont localisées sur les plages et sur les platiers internes de certains récifs frangeants. Elles sont particulièrement présentes sur le littoral de la Grande-Terre.\r\nL’objet de cette étude est d’établir un inventaire des formations rencontrées sur le littoral et les platiers des récifs frangeants de la Guadeloupe, de les localiser sur un fond cartographique au 1/25 000 et de dresser une fiche descriptive, par site.\r\nCe travail présente, dans une première partie, une synthèse bibliographique sur les beach-rocks : principe de formation, méthode de datation, composition, intérêt écologique et géologique. La deuxième partie expose la méthodologie et les moyens mis en œuvre pour mener à bien l’inventaire.
