S’en est\r\nsuivie une discussion sur l’évaluation de l’état de santé des récifs coralliens, les besoins d’indicateurs\r\npour la DCE et l’IFRECOR, les indicateurs existants, leurs limites et les améliorations possibles, et la\r\nvalorisation attendue notamment via des documents de synthèse. Finalement les outils d’aide à la\r\nréalisation de ces évaluations ont été présentés, comme la BD Récif pour la bancarisation. Il a été conçu pour l’ensemble des territoires coralliens des outre-mer français et vise également à informer les gestionnaires sur l’avancée du développement des méthodes. Certaines approches peuvent en effet susciter de fortes attentes alors que, encore en phase de recherche-développement, elles ne sont pas encore abouties pour la gestion.  Chaque  territoire ayant ses spécificités, le guide propose différentes façons d’aborder la méthode selon les moyens  disponibles (financiers, humains…).
